Sugar Cookies

What you will need:

1 egg
1/2 cup (1 stick) margarine, melted and cooled
1 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
2 tablespoons milk
1 teaspoon lemon juice
2 cups sifted flour
1 teaspoon baking powder

What to do next:

1. Preheat oven to 400.
2. Break the egg into a large mixing bowl. Add the margarine, sugar, cinnamon, milk, and lemon juice. Beat with an egg beater until creamy.
3. Sift the flour and baking powder together into another bowl. Add this to the mixture in the first bowl and mix well with a spoon.
4. Drop the dough by the teaspoon full onto 2 cookie sheets (you don't have to grease them). Leave at least 1 inch of space between the cookies.
5. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until the cookies are golden brown. Immediately remove the cookies from the cookie sheets with a spatula. Place on wire racks to cool.

Makes about 36 cookies.

TIP: Before putting the cookies into the oven, try adding these tasty decorations: crushed peanuts, candies, raisins, chocolate chips, sprinkles, or anything else your imagination can come up with.
