Kites

What You Will Need:

Brown Paper Bag
Hole Puncher
Tape
String
Crayons, Markers, Paint (to decorate the kite)
Streamers (for kite tail)

What To Do:

A large brown paper grocery bag can make a fun art project which can also fly! Start by punching a hole in each corner of the paper bag - open end. (A standard hole punch works best.) You should reinforce your holes with heavy tape or hole reinforcements from your local office supply store.

Using to lengths of string about two-three feet long, thread each end through one of the holes in the bag and tie. You should end up with two loops. Using another length of string - (length depends on how high you want the kite to fly into the air - you might wish to start with about three feet and add more string if needed.) Thread one end of the string through both string loops from the preceding step, and tie.

Decorate your kite using anything you wish - crayons, markers, paint, etc. Make designs, kite animals, etc. Adding tails made from streamers will make for a nice finishing touch.

That's it. Run holding the kite string and letting the air carry it up, up (and hopefully not away!)
