You do not have to believe your affirmation for it to work. This fact is worth repeating because so many people get hung up on this point. You do not have to believe your affirmations. Your thoughts are your beliefs. Your subconscious mind accepts what you program into it without analysis. As long as you think or say your affirmation over and over, your subconscious mind will accept it as fact. You may have doubts; you may even think that some of your affirmations are so far from what you perceive to be your present reality as to be ridiculous. But as long as you repeat your affirmations, your subconscious mind will begin to believe them and will replace your old negative thoughts with positive ones. The most effective affirmations are those you create for yourself. You know best what your needs are. To give you a start here are a few affirmations. ~~~~~~~~~~ ;o) 2. I am lovable. 3. I trust myself and others. 4. I am safe and I protect myself. 5. I let go of the past quickly, easily, and safely. 6. I control my life. I am in charge of my life, emotions, and relationships. 7. Good things happen to me. 8. I deserve to be happy. 9. It's safe to be happy. 10. I am calm and peaceful. I let go of stress easy and quickly. 11. I am perfect, whole, and complete. 12. My needs are all fulfilled. These are used for healing. 13. Everyday in everyway I am getting better and better. 14. I heal quickly, easily, and perfectly. 15. I forgive myself for all those I have hurt intentionally and unintentionally. I forgive all those who have hurt me intentionally and unintentionally. I accept the forgiveness of all those who have hurt me intentionally and unintentionally. 16. I am a child of God. (Some of you may want to substitute this with: I am a child of the universe.) 17. I am divinely guided. The path I take is always the right path. I find a way where there is no way. (Substitute with: The universe provides everything we need for our safety, security, and happiness, one minute at a time.) This is the one I found most applicable to survivors of abuse. 18. In the infinity of life where I am, all is perfect, whole, and complete. I no longer choose to believe in old limitations and lacks, I now choose to begin to see myself as the Universe sees me, perfect, whole, and complete. The truth of my Being is that I was created, perfect, whole, and complete. I will always be perfect, whole, and complete. I now choose to live my life from this understanding. I am in the right place at the right time, doing the right thing. All is well in my world. This was taken from "Reach For The Rainbow" by: Lynne Finney.
